Maya Autorig FBX Avatar for iClone 7

Hey guys, if you have FBX/OBJ 3D human models which have no rigs and no skeleton, you can use Autodesk Maya Autorig function to rig your character. After that export as FBX file with rig/skeleton, then use 3DXchange 7 to convert it to non-standard human, and send to iClone as iAvatar, to perform your 3D animation! ENJOY! have fun, and Happy Animation!

    Hi, can custom rigs be exported and transferred to iClone using 3dXchange or does this only work if the rig is created using the autorig in Maya

    i seen this video, but it only rig body. Iclone is also very powerful in terms of facial expressions. Can you give instructions on how to attach the bones to the face and import to iclone?

    Hey! I know this is a bit of an old request, but do you think you can made a tutorial on how to properly export a VRoid Model? I know the general process when it comes to Exporting a model, but I've listened to ALL the tutorials I can find, and every time no matter what when I export a VRoid model, the textures of it are gone so it's colorless, and the exo-skeleton is gone.

    Thanks in advanced. Much appreciated. It's what I was looking for. Clear and easy to understand. No wonder it wasn't working for me. Some steps I wasn't sure about but now it's so much clearer and easier….
    If you could do one with animals that would be great…..having a bit of trouble with that too and so many OTHER tutorials that aren't very clear.

    Hi Freedom, I have CC3+ Pipeline, iclone7Pipeline, and 3dxchange. I also have PopcornFX. Can the PopcornFX effects be imported into a game along with the avatar or retargeted afterward? Or are all the effects stuck in iClone? Thanks, Freedom!
