Freedom Arts 3D Tutorials

Hey guys, how to create any baby with all facial expression shape key morph with Makehumam, and create auto lip sync mouth viseme talking animation, facial animation, and body motion with iClone, and finally send it to Unreal Engine game project, make the baby as the main game avatar or NPC? This is my step-by-step tutorial on how to do this. This work flow also work the same to create any human adult 3D avatar! ENJOY! and have fun! Happy 3D Modeling, Animation and Game Dev! ENJOY!

workflow:

01
design a baby in makehuman
skeleton set as game engine, with T-pose
save as mhm file

02
export as fbx file default
export as fbx file close eyes
export as fbx file jaw drop
export as fbx file mouth talking

export as fbx file facial expression:
– smile
– angry
– surprise
– cry
– laugh
– sad

03
import fbx default into 3DXchange
import the rest of FBX file as morph (shape key)
send to iclone
use morph creator to add all the shape key morph
adjust texture opacity in iclone
send to 3DXchange
save as iProp
convert to non-standard avatar
set facial expression
– jaw down
– lip sync mouth viseme
– eye blinking
save as iAvatar

drag iAvatar into iClone
add facial expression animation
add lip sync viseme mouth talking animation and voice
add body motion
save as iProject

export fbx imotionplus from iClone (this contain animation information)
send the baby to Unreal Engine through iClone Unreal Live Link
make him become your main avatar or NPC
import the imotionplus01 FBX into Unreal Engine
test the motion

migrate everything to Unreal Engine 5 if you want.
Done!
