Freedom 3D Tutorials

Hey guys, how to wear Character Creator 3.4 clothes to any other third party FBX avatar, and send it to iclone to become an iAvatar, and perform any 3D animation in iClone 7? This is my step-by-step tutorial on how to do this. ENJOY! and have fun! Happy animation and game developing! ENJOY!

workflow:

Test the FBX avatar in 3DXchange

in CC3

Load Neutral base in T-pose
Apply a cloth
loose the cloth
Covert the cloth as an accesory
send avatar to iclone
detach the cloth
export the cloth through 3DXchange as OBJ

in Maya

import FBX avatar
import the cloth OBJ
Sculpt the clothes to fit the avatar

once done,
select cloth
hold CTRL, select Hips,
Menu SKIN, choose “bind skin”

then
Select skin
hold CTRL+Shift, select cloth
Menu SKIN, choose “copy skin weight”

export as FBX

import FBX into 3DXchange 7
Map the bone,
